What is the ACHUB?

 

 

Based on the principles of Barcamp and Podcamp the ACHUB is a not for profit growing community interested in sharing educational experiences with new forms of immersive and social media such as podcasting, blogging, twitter, secondlife, streaming video/audio, machinima, myspace, linkedin etc.

 

The ACHUB is about YOU and your experiences, so please feel free to get involved in any capacity you desire.

Host a future ACHUB

 

 

Follow these points and you can run a ACHUB event (thanks to Podcamp Founders for inspiration on these guidelines)

 

  1. Anyone can host a ACHUB event (anyone at anytime at any place)
  2. Everyone involves carries equal repsonsibility
  3. Everything created at the event, and lead in, and post event, must be released under a Creative Commons license: http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/3.0/
  4. Everyone is allowed to participate. (subject to limitations of physical space, of course)
  5. Every session must be free of charge
  6. All sessions must obey the Law of 2 Feet - if you're not getting what you want out of the session, you can and should walk out and do something else. It's not like you have to get your money's worth!
  7. The event must be immersive educational and new-media focused - blogging, podcasting, secondlife, streaming content, social networks.
  8. The financials of a ACHUB event must be fully disclosed in an open ledger, except for any donor/sponsor who wishes to remain anonymous.

 

 

If you're interested in education, new-media, social networking, enjoy music, perform music, podcast, blog, vlog, twitter, operate in secondlife, enjoy meeting new people, then please join us - and bring a friend or colleague.
